🧾Ingredients in This Recipe
Honey – This recipe works best with a mild honey.
Saffron – Saffron can be a pricey ingredient, and this recipe uses it sparingly. As mentioned before, you can leave it out and even use your own combination of aromatics.
Cardamom – Use whole, green cardamom pods in this recipe.

👩🍳How to Make This Recipe
First, place your honey into a double boiler. You want to gently heat it until all the honey is warmed through. The honey should be heated to 95-104°F, but don’t let the temp go beyond 104°F as that will affect the texture of the honey.
Add the cracked cardamom pods and saffron directly to the warm honey.
Turn off the heat, and let the mixture sit for a minimum of 2 hours, and preferably overnight.
Strain out all of the cardamom pods. Transfer the honey in an airtight, sterilized container.
🍯 What to Serve with Infused Honey
At Rosh Hashanah, serve slices of fresh apples arranged around your honey.
Place your honey into a double boiler until the honey is warmed through. The honey should be heated to 95-104°F, but don’t let it go beyond 104°F as that will mess with the texture of the honey.
Add cardamom pods and saffron directly to the warm honey.
Turn off the heat, and let the mixture sit for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Strain out the cardamom pods.
Store the honey in an airtight, sterilized container, to use whenever you need!
