Instructions
Hot Matcha Latte
Add 2 tablespoons of hot water to your matcha powder in a small bowl.
Using your metal whisk or bamboo chasen, whisk the matcha and water until the clumps are gone.
Bring the milk to a light simmer over the stove or in the microwave. Add your chosen sweetener to the milk and stir until it's dissolved.
Add the warm milk to the matcha and whisk until frothy in a "W" or "M" shaped pattern. Pour into your favorite mug, or enjoy straight from the bowl!
Iced Matcha Latte
Add 2 tablespoons of hot or filtered water to the matcha powder in a small bowl. Using your metal whisk or bamboo chasen, whisk the matcha and water until the clumps are gone.
Add the sweetener to your cold milk. Then, add your milk to the matcha powder mix and whisk until frothy in a "W" or "M" shaped pattern. Pour the whole thing over ice for a refreshing matcha latte.
Ice Cube Tip: Pour it over some matcha latte ice cubes so the ice cubes don't dilute your latte down.
Notes
