Cut each lemon in half and squeeze out as much juice as possible using a fork or a juicer.
Fill your jug or pitcher with the cold water.
Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well.
Pour in the mint simple syrup and mix to combine. Add ice to top it off.

Mint simple syrup - A simple mix of mint, sugar, and water. I have steps on how to make mint simple syrup here. As a substitute, use muddled fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Simple syrup dissolves much better into the lemonade than granulated sugar.You can amp up the mint flavor without adding more sweetener by adding muddled mint to the pitcher or glass, just like you would with a mojito.
